There are more details on the game’s website as well as the Activision press release, including the six character classes players will choose from Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard. There was, however, the most energy-sucking announcement of them all a mobile partnership between Blizzard Entertainment and Netease to create a “mobile massively multiplayer online action-role-playing game” for Android and iOS called Diablo Immortal. There was no announcement of a Diablo 2 or Diablo remaster. That’s right we did not see the reveal or tease of Diablo 4. BlizzCon’s Diablo Immortal announcement was the last thing most core fans of the franchise wanted. Diablo 3 has pretty much run its course by now, and fans have been clamoring for the next great thing from the franchise. When Blizzard announced there would be multiple projects to be announced in 2018, it was hard not to be a little excited about the franchise’s future.
